2024 US Open Cup Format Finalized

US Soccer has finalized the format for the 2024 Lamar Hunt US.

WEB CHICAGO March 1 2024 US Soccer has finalized the format for the 2024 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. The tournament will feature 104 teams from across the United States, including 20 teams from Major League Soccer (MLS). The tournament will begin on March 21 with the First Round and will conclude with the Final on September 7.

The tournament will be divided into eight regions: Northeast, Southeast, Central, Midwest, West, Southwest, Northwest, and Hawaii. The teams in each region will be seeded based on their performance in the previous season. The top four seeds in each region will receive a bye to the Second Round.

The First Round will be played on March 21-22. The Second Round will be played on April 4-5. The Third Round will be played on April 18-19. The Quarterfinals will be played on May 9-10. The Semifinals will be played on June 6-7. The Final will be played on September 7.

WEB CHICAGO May 22 2024 The 2024 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Round of 16 delivered more heroics on Wednesday.

Sporting Kansas City, the Seattle Sounders, and LAFC all reached the quarterfinals with victories on the road.

Sporting Kansas City defeated FC Cincinnati 2-1 in extra time. The Sounders defeated the San Jose Earthquakes 3-1. LAFC defeated the Houston Dynamo 2-0.

The quarterfinals will be played on June 6-7.
