Manchester City took total control of their Champions League quarter-final tie with an emphatic 3-0 first-leg win over Bayern Munich at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday.
Rodri curled in a stunning opener before Ilkay Gundogan doubled the lead, with Leroy Sane wrapping up the scoring late on. The result leaves City in a commanding position ahead of the second leg in Munich next week.
Guardiola's side were in complete control throughout and could have won by a more comfortable margin. They will now be confident of reaching the semi-finals for the second time in three seasons.
Bayern, meanwhile, will need to produce a remarkable comeback in the second leg if they are to progress. The German champions have never overturned a three-goal deficit in the Champions League.
