Indiana Fever Roster Reduction Deadline Approaches
Eight Days and One Preseason Game Remain
Berger, Boston, and Saxton Among Rookie Additions
INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana Fever have eight days and one more preseason game left to try to narrow down their roster from 15 to 12. The team announced several cuts on Thursday, leaving Grace Berger, Aliyah Boston, and Victaria Saxton as rookies on this year's squad.
The Fever, who finished sixth in the Eastern Conference last season, are currently 1-1 in the preseason. They will play their final exhibition game on May 4 against the Las Vegas Aces before opening the regular season on May 6 against the Atlanta Dream.
The Fever's 2023 roster includes:
- Point guards: Danielle Robinson, Destanni Henderson
- Shooting guards: Victoria Vivians, Aaliyah Boston
- Small forwards: Breanna Stewart, Erica Wheeler li>Power forwards: Emma Cannon, Grace Berger
- Centers: Victoria Saxton, Kristy Wallace
The Fever are hoping to make a run at the WNBA playoffs this season after missing out last year. They have a mix of experienced players and young talent, and they will be looking to gel quickly in order to compete in the tough Eastern Conference.
